Bruins Push By Panthers

The Florida Panthers faded to the Boston Bruins 3-2 at TD Garden on Tuesday. The Panthers, who had their six-game winning streak snapped, began a long six-game road trip. Florida is now 29-7-0 when scoring first in a contest, which is the third-best record in the NHL.
It is the first time they have faced each other since Brad Marchand was traded by the Bruins to the Panthers on Friday. Marchand did not play due to an injury.
Florida(40-22-3) rushed out to a 1-0 lead at the 4:27 mark of the first period. Sam Bennett won a faceoff in the left circle. Dmitry Kulikov blasted a one-time slap shot from the top of the zone past Jeremy Swayman for his fourth goal of the year.
After no scoring during the second period, the Cats got a 5-on-3 power-play goal at 4:49 of the third. Bennett passed the puck from the top of the crease and Seth Jones angled a pass from the high slot. Mackie Samoskevich chalked up his 12th goal of the campaign on a slap shot from the inner left circle. Jones picked up his first point in a Panthers jersey.
Boston(30-28-8) made it 2-1 at the 8:56 mark of the third as they scored with the man advantage. Elias Lindholm backhanded a pass from the right wing and Casey Mittelstadt centered it from the right corner. David Pastrnak placed in a wrist shot from crease by Sergei Bobrovsky for his 33rd goal and 80th point of the season.
The B's tied it up 2-2 with 6:09 left in the period. Kulikov gave the puck away in the middle of his zone. Mason Lohrei scored his fifth tally this season on a wrist shot from the high slot.
The Bruins took a 3-2 lead with 3:17 remaining in the third. Nikita Zadorov pushed it ahead from the left point and Pastrnak spun in the left corner. He passed it to the middle and Pavel Zacha collected his 13th goal of the season on snap shot from the low left circle.
