Panthers Pick Up Brad Marchand

The Florida Panthers made another deal before the trade deadline on Friday. The Cats acquired center Brad Marchand from the Boston Bruins for a conditional 2027 second-round selection.  Marchand captured a Stanley Cup with the Bruins back in 2011 in a seven-game series against Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks.
Marchand has been the captain of the B's over the past two seasons and took over the role from the retired Patrice Bergeron. He has compiled 21 goals and 26 assists for 47 points in 61 contests during the 2024-25 campaign with Boston.
He is fourth in Bruins history with  422 goals and 1,090 games played. Marchand stands fifth all-time for the club with 976 points.
