For the second straight game, the Heat and their opponent were tied after the first frame 29-29. Miami(15-15) pushed ahead during the second quarter and led 66-52 at halftime. Houston(9-19) closed the deficit and were down 86-85 at the end of the third quarter. The Heat went on a 25-14 run at the start of the fourth quarter and held off the Rockets.
Tyler Herro placed in a career-high 41 points for the Heat. Jimmy Butler compiled a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Caleb Martin drained in 13 points while Max Strus dropped 12 points. The Rockets were led by Jalen Green with 22 points and Kevin Porter Jr. with 21 points along with seven rebounds.
