Oilers Ink Jason Demers

     Former Florida Panthers defenseman Jason Demers has signed with the Edmonton Oilers. The team has placed him on waivers after the signing so he can be sent down to their AHL affiliate in Bakersfield. 
     Demers was with the Florida Panthers for just one season in 2016-17. He ended up playing 81 contests and compiled 28 points during that campaign.
