49ers Ride By Dolphins

     The San Francisco 49ers routed the Miami Dolphins 35-13 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday. The Dolphins began the 2026 regular season winless after two contests. The 49ers scored touchdowns on their first five possessions of the game. 

     San Francisco(2-0) moved out to a 7-0 advantage with 4:17 left in the first quarter. Running back Christian McCaffrey scored on a one-yard touchdown run.

     Miami(0-2) cut the deficit to 7-3 at the 9:56 mark of the second quarter. Riley Patterson made a 28-yard field goal.

      The 49ers expanded it to 14-3 with 5:24 to go in the second. Quarterback Brock Purdy raced in from two yards away

     The Dolphins closed it to 14-6 no time remaining in the second. Patterson was able to boot a. 24-yard field goal.

      In the third quarter, the Niners increased their lead to 21-6 at 13:08. Tight end George Kittle caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Purdy.

      It became 28-6 for San Francisco with 5:46 remaining in the third. Purdy tossed a six-yard touchdown pass to fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

     The Fins fell behind 35-6 with 3:10 to go in the third. McCaffrey leaped into the end zone from one yard out for his 100th career NFL touchdown. 

     The Dolphins found the end zone with 2:30 left in the fourth quarter to make it 35-13. Quarterback Malik Willis connected a 77-yard touchdown strike to wide receiver Ryan Miller.
