Pete Crow-Armstrong Joins 40/40 Club, Marlins XXXX Cubs

     Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong became the seventh member of the 40/40 club as the Miami Marlins xxxxx the Chicago Cubs x-x on Thursday at Wrigley Field. The Marlins finished off a long nine-game road trip and played their final away game of the season. 

     Crow-Armstrong walked to lead off the bottom of the first and then stole his 40th stolen base of the 2026 season. He became the seventh player in Major League Baseball history to be a part of the 40/40 club. Crow-Armstrong joined Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Alfonso Soriano, Ronald Acuna Jr. and Shohei Ohtani on that list to compile at least 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a single season.
