Kaufman had a long reign with that newspaper for over 30 years. She worked as a tennis and soccer columnist along with being the University of Miami Hurricanes basketball beat writer. Kaufman has been the Inter Miami CF beat writer since the team's inaugural season in 2020.
Fernandez has worked mainly as a sports editor and a fill-in beat reporter during his tenure there. His former duties at that organization included high school sports reporter and Miami Marlins beat writer.
