Panthers Lose To Lightning

     The Florida Panthers were defeated by the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in a shootout at Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday night. The Cats finished the preseason with a 2-0-2 record. 

     It was the final preseason contest for both clubs. The new National Hockey League collective bargaining agreement required all 32 NHL to play a maximum four games during the preseason. 

     The Panthers will open their 2026-27 campaign at the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Lightning visit the New York Rangers on Thursday.
