Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM had the highest ratings of any sports talk radio format in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market for the fifth consecutive month. They were able to pull away from their two competitors in the region.
WQAM moved from a 1.1 to a 1.4 in the month of December. It is the longest the station has been in the first place spot since from August 2012 until December 2012. They have increased their audience through the long winning streak of the Miami Dolphins.
790 The Ticket WAXY-AM could not escape from the holding pattern in their previous three months as they got a 0.7 in December. The mediocre start of the Miami Heat in the regular season did not help matters.
Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM stayed the same for the third straight month with a 0.2 in this period. They are still focused on Fox Sports Radio for most of their weekdays and University of Florida sporting events.
