Rich Herrera will be soon leaving 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM to become the senior executive producer and pregame studio host for San Diego Padres game broadcasts on KBZT-FM. He has been a weekend host on The Ticket for the past year.
Herrera was the director of radio operations and studio host for the Tampa Bay Rays. He once hosted a sports show on 98.7 The Fan WHFS-FM in Tampa. Herrera is currently a baseball host on MLB Network Radio channel at SiriusXM Radio.
He joins former local sportscaster Jesse Agler who is the radio play-by-play announcer for the San Diego Padres. Agler left the afternoon host spot on The Finsiders at 940 WINZ-AM in January 2014 for a position with the Padres organization.
