The Brooklyn Nets slipped by the Miami Heat 110-109 in overtime at American Airlines Arena on Saturday night. The Heat had their eight-game home winning streak snapped and they failed to clinch an Eastern Conference playoff spot.
The first half belonged to Miami(41-36) as they were ahead 32-22 after one quarter and were up 55-48 at halftime. Brooklyn(25-51) caught the Heat and led 80-76 after the third quarter. After the game was tied 101-101 at the end of regulation, the Nets outscored their opponent 9-8 in extra session.
Goran Dragic had 20 points and eight rebounds while Kelly Olynyk dropped in 16 points for Miami. Dwyane Wade and Josh Richardson both had 13 points each. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson got a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Nets. Caris LeVert also put together a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
