The Miami Heat were taken into an extra session and lost to the Washington Wizards 117-113 at Capital One Arena on Tuesday night. The Heat still have won four of their last six games.
Washington(37-28) raced out with a 22-7 run to a 31-26 lead in the first quarter and stayed ahead 59-50 at halftime. The second half belonged to Miami(34-31) as they slowly cut into the gap. They trailed 86-80 after three quarters and outscored the Wizards 25-19 to send it into overtime. The Wizards went on a 12-8 spurt to take the extra quarter.
Dwyane Wade had a team-high 22 points and Tyler Johnson got 21 points. Josh Richardson and Goran Dragic collected 16 points each while Justice Winslow poured in 15. Bradley Beal lead the Wizards with a game-high 30 points and Markieff Morris contributed a double-double with 16 points along with 13 rebounds.
