Dolphins Shut Out Jets

The Miami Dolphins blanked the New York Jets 24-0 on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. It was the first shutout of the 2020 season by any team. The Jets are now the only club without a victory in the National Football League.
The Dolphins were to play in Denver this week, however the National Football League revised the schedule. The Fins will take their bye next week and return in two weeks hosting the Los Angeles Rams.
Miami(3-3) moved out to a 7-0 lead with 6:55 to go in the first quarter. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpartick tossed a four-yard pass to tight end Adam Shaheen.
In the second quarter, the Dolphins extended the lead to 14-0. Fitzpatrick found wide receiver Preston Williams on a three-yard throw.
New York(0-6) surrendered another score with 1:53 left in the first half. Tight end Durham Smythe caught a four-yard pass from Fitzpatrick.
The Dolphins expanded it to a 24-point margin with 3:49 left in the final quarter. Jason Sanders was able to kick a 24-yard field goal. Miami rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made his NFL debut with 2:27 remaining in the game.
