Kim Ng Gone From Miami Marlins

Miami Marlins general manager Kim Ng has parted ways from the organization. Ng declined her mutual option for the 2024 season, even though the team wanted her back.
Ng was named the general manager of the team in November 2020. She was the first woman to be named to a general manager position in Major League Baseball and for any North American top-level, professional men's sport.
She has held different positions in the baseball industry since 1998. Ng was the assistant general manager for the New York Yankees and later with the Los Angeles Dodgers. She was working for Major League Baseball as vice president of baseball operations prior to her arrival in Miami.
The Marlins reached the postseason as a National League Wild-Card team in 2023 with a 84-78 record. They compiled their most wins in a season since 2009. Miami lost to the Philadelphia Phillies during the first round in two games.
