Venezuela Wins Caribbean Series

Venezuela shut out Dominican Republic 3-0 in the Caribbean Series title game at loanDepot park on Friday night. Venezuela captured their eighth Caribbean Series championship. It was the first time that the Caribbean Series was held at a Major League Baseball stadium in the United States.
Former Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen was able to manage Venezuela to the 2024 title. He became the second manager to guide teams to a World Series title and a Caribbean Series title. Guillen won the 2005 World Series with the Chicago White Sox. Tommy Lasorda won the Caribbean Series with Dominican Republic in 1973 and the World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1981 and 1988.
