George Beasley In Florida Broadcasters Hall Of Fame

Former local radio owner George Beasley has been elected to the inaugural class of the Florida Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Rush Limbaugh was also one of 10 people selected for the honor by the Florida Association of Broadcasters.
Beasley did own several South Florida radio stations from the 1990s to the 2020s. His company, now branded as Beasley Media Group, owned Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM, Power 96 WPOW-FM and Kiss Country 99.9 WKIS-FM in Miami from 1996 until October 2014. Beasley became the owner of WSBR-AM, WHSR-AM and WWNN-AM in Boca Raton back in 2000 and held them until 2021 and 2022. Beasley passed away at the age of 89 in February 2021.
Limbaugh was the midday host at WQAM when it went to an all sports format in 1993. He moved on to News Radio 610 WIOD-AM in 1997 and remained there through his passing in 2021. Limbaugh had been heard for over 30 years at WJNO-AM in West Palm Beach.
