The Miami Heat erased a 14-point second quarter deficit and got a 102-89 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat remained unbeaten at home with an 8-0 mark and have scored at least 100 points in all their games in South Florida.
Brooklyn(11-5) broke out to a 15-4 in the first six minutes of the game and led 24-16 after one quarter. They increased their margin to 14 points at 35-21 with 9:22 left in the second quarter and entered halftime up 59-50.
After being down 73-65 with five minutes left in the third quarter, Miami(12-3) finished off the period on a 17-5 run and led 82-78 as they headed into the fourth quarter. The Heat outscored the Nets 20-9 in one portion of the final quarter and had their largest lead of the game at 15 points.
Dwyane Wade produced one of his best games this season for Miami with 34 points and seven assists in 34 minutes of play. LeBron James added 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists in 37 minutes. Ray Allen had 13 points and Norris Cole popped in 12 points as both came off the bench.
All the starters for the Nets scored in double figures. Deron Williams contributed ten points and 12 rebounds in 39 minutes while Andrey Blatche poured in 20 points. Veteran reserve Jerry Stackhouse played in 24 minutes and scored 11 points.
