Miami Heat forward LeBron James has been named Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year for 2012. He joins fellow teammate Dwyane Wade who won the award in 2006.
James helped the Miami Heat win their second NBA championship in franchise history this year. He was named the NBA Most Valuable Player for the third time in four years and the NBA Finals MVP against the Oklahoma City Thunder. In addition, he won his second gold medal with the United States at the London Summer Olympics this past summer.
