Heat Pipe Down Jazz

    The Miami Heat coasted to a 105-89 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday night at American Airlines Arena. The Heat improved their home record to 13-2 this season. Miami will take a four-game win streak into Christmas Day against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a rematch of the 2012 NBA Finals.
    After giving up the initial basket, Miami(18-6) scored eight consecutive points. The last time Utah(14-14) held a lead in the game was at 19-17 with 3:03 left in the first quarter. The Heat were up 28-25 after one quarter and could only muster a six-point margin midway through the second quarter. They were ahead 47-43 at halftime.
    Miami went on a tear to begin the third quarter as they went on a 22-6 run to command a 20-point lead 69-49 with 4:20 left in the period. The Jazz slowly climbed back and were behind 73-63 after three quarters. They came within eight points 90-82 with 4:39 to go in the fourth quarter. The Heat knocked down 15 straight points to put the game out of reach 105-82 with 1:48 left.
    LeBron James had 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in 38 minutes and Dwyane Wade added 21 points, seven assists and seven rebounds in 34 minutes. Shane Battier popped in 15 points and Ray Allen poured in 13 points for the Heat.
    Marvin Williams led Utah in scoring with 16 points in 27 minutes and Gordon Hayward added 15 points off the bench in 27 minutes. Paul Millsap contributed 11 points in 29 minutes.
