The Panthers regained the lead with just over three minutes left in the frame. Nick Bjugstad took a shot from the left circle which was stopped. Erik Gudbranson got the long rebound and floated a slap shot from the right-wing wall over the left arm of Frederik Andersen.
The Ducks had a power play and an extra attacker in the final minute of the third period and took advantage of the situation. Corey Perry scored his first goal this year with 5.l seconds remaining in regulation.
Both teams were tied after three rounds of the shootout. Stewart scored in the fourth round with a backhand shot past Luongo while Andersen made a blocker save on a Jonathan Huberdeau snap shot.
