Israel Gutierrez has left 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM after over two months as an afternoon co-host with Ethan J. Skolnick. He was elevated to that position back in September from his role as guest morning co-host with Jonathan Zaslow and Joy Taylor for several months.
Gutierrez, who once worked at the Miami Herald as a Miami Heat beat writer, will continue on ESPN Radio with a weekend NBA show that he has hosted since January along with being a sideline reporter for NBA games on ESPN and an NBA columnist on ESPN.com. No decision has been made by 790 The Ticket management who will co-host the afternoon program with Skolnick. Several likely candidates include Chris Wittyngham, Josh Friedman, "The Beast" Brian London, Alex Marvez, Chris Perkins and Craig Mish.
