The Miami Heat fell to the Indiana Pacers 102-98 at Conseco Field House on Sunday night. The Heat ended a four-game winning streak and had a chance to get into a playoff spot with a victory.
Indiana(34-32) roared out to a 32-22 margin after one quarter and were up 60-53 at halftime. Miami(32-35) stayed with them during the second half and trailed 83-75 after three quarters. The Heat made a run during the fourth and were ahead 96-95 with three minutes to go. The Pacers scored seven straight points in the final two minutes of play to put the contest away.
Hassan Whiteside led the Heat as he compiled a double-double of 26 points and 21 rebounds while Dion Waiters added 20 points. Paul George had a game-high 28 points for Indiana.
