The Miami Heat got by the New Orleans Pelicans 120-112 on Wednesday night at American Airlines Arena. The momentum continued for the Heat as they have won five of their last six contests and 22 of their last 27 games.
Miami(33-35) moved out to a 28-21 lead after one quarter until New Orleans(27-41) bounced back and trailed 54-52 at halftime. The contest was tied 105-105 with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter then the Heat went on a 15-7 run.
Goran Dragic had a game-high 33 points for Miami while Hassan Whiteside compiled a double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Anthony Davis led New Orleans with 27 points and DeMarcus Cousins contributed 19 points.
