The Heat returned to Miami and got by the Charlotte Hornets 108-101 at American Airlines Arena on Wednesday night. The Heat extended their winning streak to three games and are half-a-game behind the Chicago Bulls for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Miami have won 20 of their last 24 games. They have been victorious in 12 of their last 13 games at home.
Charlotte(28-35) raced out to a 22-18 lead after one quarter. Miami(31-34) roared back and tied it 54-54 at halftime. The contest remained close during the third quarter with the Hornets up 86-81 at the end of the frame. The Heat responded with a 15-3 run to began the fourth quarter and pulled away.
