Panthers Stop Rangers

     The Florida Panthers were able to get by the New York Rangers 4-3 in a shootout at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. The Panthers have won two of their last three games and next face the Stanley Cup champion Penguins in Pittsburgh to finish a three-game road trip.
     New York(44-24-3) raced out to a 2-0 lead after one period. Mats Zuccarello quickly scored at 2:34 then J.T. Miller made it a two-goal gap at 4:11.
     Florida(31-28-11) got back into the contest with two goals during the second period. Jonathan Huberdeau put in a tally at 1:25 and Jussi Jokinen scored on a power play at 6:41.
     In the third period, Aleksander Barkov gave the Cats their first lead of the game at 7:23. Zuccarello scored his second goal of the contest at 11:45 to even it up 3-3.
      The Panthers got the only goal during the shootout for the victory. Barkov put in the puck during the second attempt for Florida.
