Florida Panthers 2022-23 Schedule Released

The National Hockey League has released the schedule for the 2022-23 regular season. All 32 NHL teams will play 82-game schedules for the second straight season. The NHL will have normal dates and time length in the regular season for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
The Florida Panthers will open the 2022-23 campaign on October 13 against the New York Islanders at UBS Arena. They will have their home opener against the Philadelphia Flyers on October 19. The 2021-22 Presidents' Trophy banner and Atlantic Division banner are expected to be raised to the rafters of FLA Live Arena prior to that contest.
The Panthers, who look to defend their Atlantic Division crown, will play two games at home and two games away against most of their Atlantic Division foes. The exception is the Detroit Red Wings who will visit Sunrise once on December 8 while the Cats visit the Ottawa Senators once on March 27.
Florida takes on all eight Metropolitan Division clubs three times each. The Panthers host division champion Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils twice and visit once. The Cats 2022 first-round opponent Washington Capitals, New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets come to South Florida once and the Panthers travel to them twice.
The Cats will host and visit all 16 Western Conference teams once for the upcoming season. The Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche will come to Sunrise on February 11.
The 2023 National Hockey League All-Star Game will be held at FLA Live Arena on February 4. The Panthers regular season finale is at home against the Carolina Hurricanes on April 13.
