Panthers Ink Nathan Staios

The Florida Panthers have signed defenseman Nathan Staios to a deal. It is a three-year, entry-level contract between him and the club worth $2.85 million.
Staios was named the CHL Defensive Player of the Year and the Max Kaminsky Trophy winner for Most Outstanding Defenseman in the Ontario Hockey League. He has played junior hockey with the Hamilton Bulldogs and set a team record with 66 points by a defenseman.
Staios led all Ontario Hockey League defensemen in points in 2021-22 and helped the Bulldogs win the OHL Championship. His father Steve Staios played in the National Hockey League for 16 seasons from 1995-96 to 2011-12 and participated in 1,001 games.
