Mets Pound Marlins

The New York Mets dominated the Miami Marlins 10-0 at Citi Field on Thursday night. It was the first contest of a four-game series between both teams. The Marlins lost their second straight game following a six-game winning streak.
Miami(39-42) was held to just two hits by the Mets pitching staff. Miguel Rojas had a double in the third while Jesus Aguilar got a base hit in the seventh inning.
New York(52-31) made it 6-0 on a three-run homer by James McCann to left-center field in the bottom of the fourth. J.D. Davis smashed a grand-slam homer to left field on a 0-1 pitch with Eduardo Escobar, Mark Canha and Jeff McNeil aboard.
