Miami Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez captured the 2023 National League batting title on Sunday. He ended up with a .354 batting average to take the batting crown. Arraez was ahead of the entire league since the first week of the regular season.
Arraez was able to pick up his second career batting title and was the first player in Major League Baseball history to win it in different leagues in consecutive seasons. He won the American League batting crown last season with the Minnesota Twins as he compiled a .316 batting average. Arraez became the only player besides D.J. LeMahieu and Ed Delahanty to win a batting championship in both leagues.
