Due to the impending storm of Hurricane Sandy, many of this week's high school football games in Palm Beach County on Thursday and Friday have been delayed or canceled. Games involving District 13-7A teams in playoff contention will be played on Monday night. Royal Palm Beach will visit Atlantic in what would decide first place in that district. Dwyer travels to Lake Worth that same night. Non-district games that had Park Vista at Palm Beach Gardens along with Seminole Ridge at Boca Raton have been canceled and will not be made up.
The beginning of the inaugural Southeastern Football Conference playoffs have been moved from October 25 to November 1. Pope John Paul II, the North Division champions, will host Miami-Country Day in a quarterfinal matchup. The only school not affected by Hurricane Sandy this week is Delray-American Heritage. The Stallions play an out-of-state game on Saturday night in West Monroe, Louisiana.
