The pitchers dominated in a game which the Tampa Bay Rays shut out the Miami Marlins 2-0 at Marlins Park on Saturday. Miami(1-4) only compiled two hits in the contest as Jarred Cosart dropped his record to 0-2 this season.
Tampa Bay(2-3) picked up a two-out rally during the sixth inning. Asdrubal Cabrera tripled to deep center then scored on an Evan Longoria double to right-center field.
The Rays extended their lead to 2-0 in the following frame against Mike Dunn. Tim Beckham pinched hit for Allan Dykstra to begin the top of the seventh and smacked a solo home run to left-center field on a 2-2 pitch for his first homer of the season.
