The Florida Panthers have extended the contract of general manager Dale Tallon for three more years until the end of the 2018-19 season. Tallon was in the final season of a five-year deal with the team.
Florida is currently in first place of the Atlantic Division and third place in the Eastern Conference. The club has won seven consecutive games which matched a franchise record. They also have won seven of their eight and 13 of their last 16 games. The Panthers did make the playoffs four seasons in 2011-12 when they captured the Southeast Division.
