Braves Pound Marlins

The Atlanta Braves bashed the Miami Marlins 12-2 at loanDepot park on Monday night. The Marlins had their four-game winning streak snapped.
Atlanta(63-56) got a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Dansby Swanson grounded into a force out for Ozzie Albies to score.
Miami(51-68) quickly answered back in their first at-bat of the bottom of the first. Jazz Chisholm Jr. smacked a solo home run on the first pitch to center field.
It became 2-1 for the Fish in the second inning. Isan Diaz lifted a solo homer to right field on a 2-2 count.
The Braves piled on seven runs in the top of the fourth for an 8-2 lead. Albies singled to center field and Guillermo Heredia reached home. Freddie Freeman blasted a three-run homer to right-center field on a 3-1 pitch for his 26th home run of the year.
Swanson later drove in Austin Riley with a single into left-center field. Adam Duvall returned to loanDepot park for the first time and burned his former teammates as he slammed a two-run home run to left field on a 2-1 count.  It was his 27th homer for Duvall during the 2021 season.
In the sixth inning, Atlanta expanded their lead to 10-2. Albies knocked in Travis d'Arnaud and Heredia on a base hit up the middle.
