ESPN Cancels The Jump

ESPN will stop broadcasting The Jump with host Rachel Nichols in a couple of weeks. Nichols was suspended by ESPN and did not host NBA Countdown during the 2021 NBA Finals. She had been a NBA studio host and sideline reporter for the last five years.
She has hosted The Jump since its inception in February 2016. Nichols started her second reign at ESPN in December 2015.
Nichols, a Northwestern University grad, was first noticed locally in South Florida as a sportswriter for the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel in 1995 and 1996. She moved on to the Washington Post and was there from 1996 to 2004 as a sportswriter. Nichols was first hired by ESPN in 2004 and stayed there as a television sports reporter and sports columnist for over eight years.
She joined Turner Sports as a sports reporter along with being a NBA and NCAA basketball sideline reporter in January 2013. Nichols also hosted a Friday night show on CNN called Unguarded With Rachel Nichols from September 2013 to October 2014.
