Kevin Dineen New Utica Comets Coach

The Utica Comets have named Kevin Dineen as their new head coach. Utica is the new American Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. He spent the last two seasons as the Anaheim Ducks AHL head coach with the San Diego Gulls.
Dineen is best known locally in South Florida as the former head coach of the Florida Panthers from 2011 until November 2013. He led the Panthers to the first division championship in franchise history as they captured the Southeast Division in 2011-12. Dineen also guided the club to the Stanley Cup Playoffs that season and snapped an NHL record 12-year drought.
