Los Angeles(85-54) had a 1-0 lead in the third inning. Will Smith singled into center field to score former Marlins player Miguel Rojas.
The Dodgers added two more runs in the top of the fifth for a 3-0 lead. Chris Taylor knocked in Amed Rosario on a base hit to center field. Kiki Hernandez followed with a ground-rule double to right-center field and Max Muncy reached home.
It became 7-0 for Los Angeles in the sixth inning as they four runs. Freddie Freeman doubled down the right-field line and the ballboy got to the ball and threw it into he stands. Mookie Betts was awarded home on the play. Two batters later, Rosario singled through the left side for Freeman and Smith to cross the plate. Taylor later doubled into the left-center field gap and Muncy raced home.
Dodgers starting pitcher Ryan Pepiot was pitching a perfect game against Miami(72-68) through 6 2/3 innings. It was broken up on a single up the middle by Josh Bell.
In the eighth inning, Los Angeles increased it to 10-0. Taylor blasted a three-run homer to center field on a 2-0 pitch with Smith and Muncy aboard.
