Marlins Speed By Dodgers

The Miami Marlins raced by the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 on Wednesday night at loanDepot park. The Marlins look to complete a three-game sweep against the Dodgers tomorrow.
Los Angeles(84-54) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth. Jason Heyward bashed a solo home run to right-center field on a full count for his 14th homer of the year.
Miami(72-67) looked like they might score in the bottom of the fourth with the bases loaded and two out. Xavier Edwards hit the ball to right field and Heyward scaled the fence to make a spectacular catch.
The Marlins moved ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth. Joey Wendle sliced a two-run homer to right field on a 1-2 pitch with Jacob Stalling aboard. It was just his second home run of the 2023 season. The Fish would score seven more runs in the frame for an eight-run margin.
