Hill attended and played for Miami Carol City High School. He helped the Chiefs capture the FHSAA Class 6A state championship in 2016 as their head coach.
He moved on to the University of Florida as a wide receiver. Hill contributed to the Gators winning three SEC championships in 1991, 1993 and 1994. He became a graduate assistant with the football program and stayed there from 1996 until 1998.
Hill had stints as a wide receiver coach at Duke, Elon and Pittsburgh prior to returning to South Florida. He joined the University of Miami in 2008 to coach the wide receivers and added duties as the Hurricanes recruiting coordinator for one year in 2010.
He went back to Florida as a wide receiver coach and recruiting coordinator from 2011 to 2012. Hill returned to Miami Carol City and was the head coach from 2013 until 2016. He has been with Florida International University as the Panthers wide receivers coach over the past four years.
