Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers made his major league debut as Miami swept a doubleheader and allowed no runs against the New York Mets at Citi Field on Tuesday night. The Marlins won the second seventh-inning game 3-0 between both clubs with New York(12-16) designated as the visiting team.
Miami(14-11) got two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Brain Anderson hit a double into left field that scored Jon Berti and Corey Dickerson.
A rare feat happened in the sixth inning. Berti was able to not only steal second base and third base, he stole home standing up with Mets relief pitcher Jeurys Familia on the mound.
