Jacques Martin Not Renewed By Penguins

     Former Florida Panthers head coach Jacques Martin will not be retained by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He joined that club in August 2013. He contributed to the Penguins as an assistant coach winning two Stanley Cup titles in 2015-16 and 2016-17. 

     Martin held several positions with the Florida Panthers organization and the team never made any postseason appearances. He was the head coach of the Florida Panthers from May 2004 to April 2008. He also held the post of general manager for three seasons from 2006-07 to 2008-09.
