Inter Miami CF snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over Toronto FC on Wednesday night at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. Inter Miami CF had their biggest scoring output in a contest since they compiled three goals against Toronto FC in the same venue back on August 21.
In the first half, Inter Miami CF struck quickly during the 10th minute. A bad clearing pass by the Toronto FC goalkeeper Alex Bono was intercepted by Federico Higuain and he was able to put in a right-foot shot from 14 yards away.
It became 2-0 for Inter Miami CF in the 45th minute of play. They performed a set piece on a left-side corner kick and Christian Makoun fired a left-footed shot in the middle of the penalty area from nine yards into the bottom right corner of the net.
Inter Miami CF increased it to a three-goal margin in the 61st minute. The team took a corner kick from the left side and Toronto FC defender Eriq Zavaleta ended up with an own goal on a header from five yards out.
