The Dan Le Bartard and Friends Podcast Network launched in 2018 while Le Batard, Stugotz, Roy Bellamy, Mike Ruiz Ryan, Billy Gil, Chris Cote and Allyson Turner worked at ESPN. Numerous podcasts have been added which includes South Beach Sessions, Stupodity, The Shipping Container, Mystery Crate and Greg Cote Show over the last couple of years. Le Bartard and his crew left ESPN on January 4 and he formed Meadowlark Media later that month. Their main podcast of the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz has a one-hour local sports hour followed by a couple hours of national sports.
The Big O Orlando Alzugaray has operated a weekday podcast at 10 AM since June 15. The time span for his podcast has usually run for up to four hours. Alzugaray restarted podcasting after Onside Radio disbanded back in June.
Another Onside Radio alumnus has also gone into daily podcasts during weekdays. Alex Donno added duties hosting a weekday podcast with Five Reasons Sports Network in July. It is a three-hour podcast that started at noon and was shifted to 3PM on October 11. Donno continues as a podcast co-host with Larry Blustein on University of Miami athletics and co-hosts an Inter Milan podcast. He rejoined 560 WQAM as the Miami Dolphins postgame host in September.
Five Reasons Sports Network also recently added Jeff DeForrest along with sidekick Mike Lubitz on October 18 for a two-hour morning podcast at 7AM. DeForrest ended an 11-year tenure with 940 WINZ-AM on September 21.
One of the most unknown weekday sports podcasts locally is Clock Blockers on the Miami Sports Music Podcast Network with Stephen Daniels. The podcast starts at 8:30AM.
