Miami Dolphins Add Duke Johnson

     Former local high school and college football running back Duke Johnson has signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins. He has been assigned to the practice squad. 

     He has not yet participated in a 2021 regular season contest. Johnson did join the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad in September. 

     Johnson played with the Miami Norland Vikings and captured a FHSAA Class 5A state championship in 2011. He landed at the University of Miami and was with the Hurricanes for three years where he compiled 3,519 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns. Johnson spent four seasons with the Cleveland Browns and two seasons with the Houston Texans in his NFL career.
