30th Anniversary MLB Strike

Monday was the 30th anniversary of the Major League Baseball strike. It began on August 12, 1994 and lasted until April 2, 1995.
From the South Florida standpoint, the Florida Marlins did host the St. Louis Cardinals at Joe Robbie Stadium prior to the strike on August 11. It turned out to be a quiet Marlins locker room after losing 8-6 in the contest.
The work stoppage had a tremendous impact on the sport. The regular season never resumed and then the 1994 World Series was not played. It would be the first time since 1904 that the World Series did not take place.
