Texans Cut C.J. Henderson

The Houston Texans have released defensive back C.J. Henderson. He signed with that club back in March and did not make their 53-man roster for opening game.
Henderson participated in high school football with the Columbus Explorers and played three seasons with the University of Florida Gators. He was selected ninth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He got into 10 games in a two-season span with the Jaguars before being traded to the Carolina Panthers on September 27, 2021. Henderson played in 39 contests with the Panthers from 2021 to 2023.
