Dolphins Slip By Commanders

The Miami Dolphins edged the Washington Commanders 13-6 on Saturday night at Hard Rock Stadium. The Fins will play their final preseason game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday.
Miami got the only touchdown in the contest on their first possession of the first quarter with 4:16 left. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa connected a 13-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver River Cracraft.
Both teams exchanged field goals early in the second quarter. Washington closed it to 10-6 with 19 seconds remaining in the first half on a 38-yard field goal by Riley Patterson.
The Dolphins would pick up the only points throughout the entire second half. The Fins made it 13-6 when Jason Sanders booted a 33-yard field goal at the 10:02 mark of the third quarter.
The Commanders had one final opportunity to even it up in the final seven seconds of the fourth. A pass on a slant pattern to the wide receiver was not caught and Washington turned the ball over on downs.
