Reds Canned By Marlins

The Miami Marlins handled the Cincinnati Reds 6-4 at loanDepot park on Wednesday night. The Reds had taken the first two contests of the four-game series.
Miami(43-72) sprinted out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Jake Burger picked up a solo homer on the first pitch to center field. Four batters later, Derek Hill hammered a grand-slam home run to right-center field on a 0-1 pitch with Johan Bride, Jesus Sanchez and Otto Lopez aboard. It was his first home run in a Marlins uniform.
The Marlins increased it to a six-run margin in the fifth inning. Burger belted a solo home run to left field on a 0-1 count for his second home run of the game and 19th home run of the year.
Cincinnati(55-59) climbed back into the contest with four runs during the top of the seventh to make it 6-4. T.J. Friedl smacked a grand-slam homer to right field on a 0-2 count for his sixth home run of the campaign. Jake Fraley, Santiago Espinal and Tyler Stephenson scored in front of Friedl on the play.
