The Miami Heat were well represented at the NBA All-Star Game as the Eastern Conference lost to the Western Conference 143-138 at Toyota Center in Houston on Sunday. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Erik Spolestra and his coaching staff were part of the Eastern Conference squad. It was the second time since 2010 that the game was played in Texas.
The Eastern Conference placed three starters from the Heat. James scored 19 points with five assists in 30 minutes while Wade added 21 points and seven assists in 29 minutes. Bosh contributed six points in 23 minutes. Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks led the East with 26 points and 12 rebounds in 31 minutes.
Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers was named most valuable player of the game with 20 points and 15 assists in 27 minutes for the West. Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder had 30 points and six rebounds in 31 minutes while Blake Griffin of the Clippers dropped down 19 points in 27 minutes.
