Todd Wright is no longer with Sports Radio 98.7 The Fan WHFS-FM in Tampa Bay as an evening host. He joined that station in August 2012 as the
afternoon co-host until he was shifted to nights in early October 2012. The Fabulous Sports Babe will move from overnights to evenings at the station.
Wright, a
University of Miami grad, was the television play-by-play announcer of the Miami
Tropics on Sunshine Network back in 1993. The Tropics, with John Lucas as head coach and team owner, won the United States
Basketball League(USBL) championship that year.
He hosted the All Night With Todd Wright overnight show on ESPN
Radio from 1996 until 2005. He then joined Sporting News Radio in June 2006 as
the late night host of Todd Wright Tonight. The network changed its name to
Yahoo! Sports Radio in August 2011. Wright remained as the late night host for
several months until he was shifted to become the evening host. He left the
organization in February 2012. Wright began his career as a sportscaster at
Sports Radio 910 WFNS-AM in Tampa Bay.

Bummed out to hear this news. His was my favorite show on that station. Always enjoyed hearing his take on the local and national topics. Would like to know what happened.
ReplyDeleteHe never graduated from Miami, he went there for 3 years.
