The Miami Marlins have signed Chone Figgins to a minor league contract. He has fielding experience where he has played second base, third base and outfield during his career. He batted only .181 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 66 games last season with the Seattle Mariners.
Figgins got to the majors in 2002 where he won the World Series with the Anaheim Angels. He would play there for eight seasons and make four other postseason appearances. He joined the Seattle Mariners as a free agent in 2010 and stayed there for three seasons.
